We weren’t planning planning to offer this cake on our menu. It’s a comfort cake that both TBF Junior and I bake whenever we need, erm, some cake for comfort.
If you are a big fan of lemon or anything citrusy, you’ll love this moist, fluffy and tangy lemon butter loaf which is generously drizzled with more lemon juice after baking. Quite the perfect breakfast or afternoon tea cake or dessert, when served with vanilla ice cream.
The cake does not contain any preservatives and is best served within 3 days. Refrigeration is required.
Tip: Warm the cake up to room temperature to allow the natural oils of the lemon to come through.
Ingredients: French butter, flour, sugar, egg, milk, lemon, salt , edible flowers.
Cake loaf measures 10cm(W) x 20.0cm(L) x 6.5cm (H). Good for 3-6pax
